In ancient Greece, the lyceum was the gymnasium where Aristotle housed his famous school. In modern times, “lyceum” is a word used to describe schools that offer advanced intellectual exploration beyond a general education.
Which is exactly what The Lyceum accomplishes. The Lyceum is a two-week intensive institute, designed to provide a focused and progressive learning experience for advanced High-School Oratory students. We supply guidance and instruction in areas which are often not explored in large, general institute settings and focus on cultivating the individual work of advanced students.
What makes The Lyceum different?
- Tailored curriculum: the curriculum will be altered in order to fit individual interests and abilities.
- Theory Lectures: no other institute has the in depth theory lectures that The Lyceum provides in conjunction with Oratory curriculum.
- Focus on individual work: individual speeches are of the highest priority. Lectures and activities only supplement the important task of completing a competitive speech.
- An intimate environment: with limited enrollment The Lyceum provides a high level of individual attention for advanced students like no other camp experience can!
